How Are Those New Year’s Resolutions Going?
We’re a month in to 2023 now, so it’s time to ask: are you sticking to your new year’s resolutions?!
When we first meet clients, we take the time to get to know them as well as the project they want us to work on. Why? Because not only is any working relationship instantly improved by a solid basis of trust and understanding, but because we believe that bespoke is beautiful! If you have a vision of the perfect logo for your new brand, or a fun idea to make your video stand out from the crowd, we want to hear all about it! Again, we love a challenge, so throw us a curve ball and suggest something that you think might sound mad – our job is to turn those “crazy” ideas into something incredible. And we love every second…
We like to think we’re pretty good at what we do, but there is always room for improvement and we relish a chance to learn something new. For example, Emma has recently been experimenting with keyframe animation for some of our social media videos (and on her own YouTube channel) and has created everything from a talking deer to Easter eggs that jump into a basket by themselves. We both get a huge buzz out of mastering a new skill, so we approach each project we take on with open-minded enthusiasm, wondering what we’ll learn along the way!
Sometimes, challenging ourselves means taking on projects that are beyond our usual “arts and culture” remit. Working in that sector may be where the bulk of our passion and experience lies, but something we get a real kick out of is helping small businesses in any sector! From setting up websites and designing logos, to creating eye-catching social media videos, posters and press releases, we want to help small businesses make a BIG impact!
We recently had the chance to work with the lovely Kirstie of Cat Sitting Exeter, producing a brand-new website. We relished the chance to take on a completely different project and, let’s be honest, looking at lots of seriously cute cat pictures was a definite bonus!
When we say we love a challenge, we really do mean it! So, when Cornwall’s Citizen Curators scheme – a free, work-based training programme in museum awareness and modern curatorial practice – came to us for help with putting together a funky-looking “zine,” filled with stories, artefacts and ideas representing Cornish identity, we were only too pleased to jump in!
Working alongside Cornwall Museums Partnership and Dr Tehmina Goskar of the Curatorial Research Centre, as well as local artist, Carolyn Thompson, we were able to create something that showcases the rich, cultural diversity of Cornwall in a fresh and engaging way. It was an enormous design challenge for Little Bird Lesley and one of our biggest projects to date, but we are exceptionally proud of how it turned out! Stay tuned for a behind-the-scenes video about the project, coming soon…
But just as the zine was a major project, we pour the same level of care and attention into the smaller ones. Maybe you’re not collating an entire archive – perhaps you just want some nice-looking business cards designed?
Little Bird Creative are an agency that will always understand that there is no such thing as a “little” job, at least not in the eyes of our clients. A poster advertising a local choir’s upcoming concert is every bit as important as a music podcast, edited and released across all major platforms for thousands of listeners. If it matters to you, then it matters to us, regardless of the scale of the project itself. For some, that mindset might be a challenge, but to us, it’s an integral part of who we are and what we believe in.
We’ve got a couple of exciting projects cooking at the moment, including working with a local heritage organisation and a fabulous women’s barbershop chorus. We’ve even got a top-secret plan for an incredible collaboration with a cultural advocacy organisation down here in Cornwall, which we are super excited about!
There has never been a better time to jump on board with Little Bird Creative. If you’re looking for copywriting, graphic design or video content then get in touch and give us our next challenge! We can’t wait to hear from you.

ADHD means that my brain works differently, so the way I approach things has to be different too.
Here are a few things that help stay organised and productive at work.
When we’re not busy at Little Bird Creative HQ, there is a very good chance that you’ll find us singing. Music is for us – as it is for so many people – our “happy place.”
