We had the best intentions when we started our blog, but… It’s been a while…
These days, you can buy basically anything on a t-shirt or a tote bag. But can you guarantee the provenance of the design? Let’s be honest, AI has many amazing uses, but nothing can truly replace a piece of hand-drawn art. Each one of our designs has been created by hand, sometimes using computer-based illustration software, sometimes with good old-fashioned pen and ink! This adorable hedgehog, chilling out amongst the leaves, is an example of a traditional illustration, drawn from scratch. We think he’s rather lovely and will certainly brighten up your shopping trips!
We have always tried to be as sustainable as we can, so it was important to us that when we started to sell our designs on physical products, we wouldn’t be wasting energy producing items that might languish on shelves. For that reason, we have only chosen items we believe are useful and beautiful and we are proud to have partnered with an organisation who prints-on-demand. For example, everyone uses mugs, right?! We’ve got a few fabulous mug designs available, including this rather snazzy fox design, with bright yellow handle to match the hand-drawn flowers. Perfect for your morning cuppa!
One of Little Bird Creative’s USPs has always been our skill when it comes to designing for children. Whether we’re creating a museum display or a poster, we’ve always known how to appeal to kids, so it was a no-brainer that we should focus on child-friendly designs for our online shop! This baby vest, featuring a bunny with a brolly is a rather adorable case in point. As we progress to our own store, we’ll be offering some of our cutest designs on t-shirts too, so older children won’t be left out!
Many years ago, we sent out some cards as part of a marketing blitz. One client, who contacted us as a result, told us the card was so pretty, he almost wanted to put it in a frame. That got us thinking…
Every home deserves beautiful artwork and we are proud to have a variety of original pieces available as posters, framed prints or wall-hangings, including – of course – the piece that inspired us to put our artwork in a frame in the first place! It’s a beautiful, hand-drawn picture of two little birds perched on a teacup. We think it’ll brighten up any room!
Everything we create for our online shop is done by hand and has come from our imagination – you won’t find any t-shirts with random words changed to suit a current trend, or images that we’ve pinched from elsewhere! This is original artwork, created by a small business right here in the UK.
